The Monthly Mile - History
The first Monthly Mile event was held at South Shields on 28th January 2014 by Luke Adams of Run Eat Sleep, where 76 Runners braved the weather to compete in the first event which started on the corner opposite the New Crown Hotel on Sea Road then went down Bents Park Road clockwise around Bents Park, down Beach Road around Bents Exhibition Park then back along Sea Road to finish opposite the Sand Dancer.
The new Start line was moved for health & safety reasons further back along the straight.
